Not the ending you wanted, but it was a solid season. UTSA brings a lot back and could be one of the better teams next year.

RE: UTSA to CIT
We beat Sam Houston State 89-76 in a pre-season game this year, but we had Jackson and Rodriguez for that game. SHSU is a well-coached team, and their defense clamped down on us and made life real difficult for us offensively. I think it was just too difficult to make the adjustments we needed to make with both Jackson and Rodriguez out, and Lyle being off his game. Missing nearly half our free throws while SHSU hit 27 of 34 didn't help either.

I think everyone knows Jackson was our leading scorer and C-USA Freshman of the Year, but Rodriguez (also a freshman) was only able to play a total of 43 minutes this season before getting hurt, and in those 43 minutes, he scored 34 points (on 13 of 19 shooting), pulled down 16 rebounds, had 3 assists, and hit 8 of 9 from the free throw line. It is what it is though, and I can't wait until next season!
