15 seed... Jesus they don't respect the Sunbelt at all. Davidson, Buffalo, Loyola, Wright State all with better positions. Cinci is a tough draw, good luck with that.

Loyola and Davidson are both really good. They were always going to be 11 or 12 seeds, and Georgia State had some really ugly losses in league play this year.

I said this in the champ game thread but will say again.

We collectively have to get better as a conference. 15-seed for our 2nd best team is embarrassing.

I mean... we did collectively suck this year. Had UTA won the SBC tournament last season when we were they #13 rated conference, they would have been a 13 seed, maybe even a 12 seed.

Louisiana and LSU is intriguing in the NIT. They don't seem to ever play in basketball that I recall.

Rooting for every SBC school in the postseason. SBC basketball needs the same boost SBC football got in the postseason.

Was Apps win over Davidson the most impressive win this year? It was for me.

I'm guessing GS and UTA just don't want to play in the CBI/CIT. They both certainly have the resume to.

UTA over Oklahoma at Norman and UTA over BYU at Provo get the edge on App over Davidson. Still a good win for the Neers.

No, UTA in the CIT is a huge heartbreak for this team.

Georgia State’s loss to a SWAC school pretty much sealed this outcome.

Yep. We have horrible, and I mean horrible, out-of-conference losses under Hunter, and we don't really have a signature OOC win in his seven seasons, and we've had our chances. We've beaten Middle Tennessee when they were good...I'm trying to think of something else. That might be the best one. The Prairie View loss and going 2-4 to end the conference slate gives us the 15. Oh well.

We just don't have good play in the conference. I completely understand.

Congrats GaSt just go out and prove them wrong I support you. Louisiana on the other hand I just cant understand. Win the conference regular season, 27-6 overall and 61 RPI and we travel to the 10th place SEC team, 17-14, 93 RPI yep just no respect for the SBC no matter how good of a season you have you are still a SBC team. I understand not getting into the NCAA but traveling to LSUA&M. For the record I'm trilled that we get to play them but we should be hosting that game.

Nothing will change in the absence of the SBC winning these games. If we are batter than the pollsters believe, we need to show it.

I am an LSU alum, and I completely agree the Cajuns should host the game. I also believe the SEC should not have 8 teams in the NCAA tournament. I hope the FBI report will somehow zap the power conferences by the 2019 tournament.

That LSU-ULL matchup reminds me of when the NIT put together Arkansas and ASU a few years ago (probably more than a few years ago). Somebody up in New York loves the idea of matching up teams that rarely play each other. This time I'll root for you, Cajuns. Beat those tigahs...
