As our roster stands, I really don't see how we finish top half, let alone a bye. Once again it will come down to 3-4 days in an NFL practice facility 20 hours away where we might win 1 game.

How do I become a casual fan? That sounds nice.

Who do you see finishing in the top half? I mean, I don't expect us to be better than we were this year with the current lack of big men. But it's not like anyone else (apart from Marshall) really worries me either.

I expect WKU to be pretty darn good again next year.

Thats a hard sell on me. Maybe they will be, but they lost Johnson, Thompson, and Coleby, there 3 best players.

Hollingsowrth and Bearden are pretty good players. Anderson was highly touted, but didn't do much. The rest are huge question marks. (unless they have somebody that sat out last year?) THey have a good recruit in Banton that is ranked where Reece is.

Hollingsworth is more than just a pretty good player. He just dominated the NIT as a true freshman. He will probably be better than Caver next year, if he isn't already (not a shot at Caver but respectful praise for Hollingsworth). We are going to hate that guy more than J Johnson.

Agree. Hollingsworth is a rare player at our level.

I don't think who is talking about basketball next season in March wants this either 04-cheers

Hollingsworth is a stud. He is one of the best freshman this conference has seen in a very long time. Amazing we are saying that Anderson didn't do much, when he was a true freshman that wasn't eligible for a while. That lack of praise for Anderson must mean that our recruiting class the year before was an absolute dumpster fire.

Pretty good/very good; I'm not going to argue semantics. He will be one of the best players in coference next year. I wouldn't say he "dominated the NIT," he dominated Oklahoma State though. He was absent vs. Marshall in the CUSA title game as well as versus USC and Utah. But, as a true freshman, inconsistency will happen.

Players develop at different paces. Anderson is highly regarded, didn't do much this past season. Could very well be a great player next year. Has nothing to do with our recruiting class unless you want to judge simply based on freshman years.

Well, we looked to be on our way out, at least somewhat.

Id say it slipped out the door by the end of this season and looked to be moving on up next season. All these transfers look like it may decimate the league again. But hey, the NCAA has to make sure the P5 get every advantage they can.

"Any given Thursday or Friday", where cusa has managed to pull off a few first round upsets in recent years, does NOT negate 10-12 OOC games for each team that proved no one in the conference was worth an at large.

Our fans like to think one win in a tourney environment negates all the evidence that proved that our teams weren't very good.

We finished second and couldn't beat W&M,vcu or temple. Our best OOC win was a Dayton team that did nothing in the a10. But hey, Marshall caught lightning in a bottle at the end of the year so clearly cusa was great lol.

UMBC is probably going to host UVA at home for guarantee game. But I’m not sure it’s in Tony Bennett’s interests to get his guys hurt in a Bodybag game for a chance at upping their rpi despite the big payday.

Do you have UMES confused with UMBC?
