RE: Bracket reveal show
Seems most of the ESPN experts are picking Michigan State to take the crown. Bilas and Greenberg picked Natti in the Elite 8 against Virginia but not to win. I love Izzo in the tourney but they will not be my pick to win it all.

Looks like Temple is the only AAC team to make the NIT. I kind of thought Memphis or Tulsa might get a shot too. UCF and SMU obviously fell apart with injuries so they were done.

guys gotta be ready for friday. can't play a half like we did vs memphis yesterday.

I completely agree with not taking a team for granted...but they're the third best 15 seed by those metrics. If we lose to them...well...that's an if I'm not even willing to entertain.

what metrics? they are far and away the best 15 seed. all the others are 130+ on kenpom. all im saying is we can't think they'll be a pushover. they can get super hot from 3, like marshall last year.

We just won the AAC tournament and you're worried about Georgia State? Sweet Lord, enjoy the win for 24 hours before you start thinking how we might lose to a 15 seed. What about the problems we pose to Georgia freegin' State? You think Coach Cronin is going to take any team lightly?

i wouldn't say im worried about Georgia State. I'm just saying they are better than a normal 15 seed. we are a 13 point favorite on kenpom with an 87% win chance. the other 2 seeds have 94+% win chance. it has nothing to do with our team, its just georgia state isn't a push over team like most 15 seeds are most years.

some of us that are into stats just like to jump right into them when the seeds are announced. im just saying what the numbers show.

yeah but, how much better is the worst 14th seed?

i can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, but ill go ahead and answer anyway.

they are better than 3 of the 14 seeds and 2 of the 13 seeds.

I appreciated this perspective and agree. Uc drew a really solid 15 seed. We should roll but if we aren't playing well they are good enough to beat us.

Interesting...
Of course, also completely worthless without knowing how they came to those percentages.

Yes... I realize that, but BPI is what exactly?(Not what the abbreviation means, what are the actual metrics being used?)

don't mind me. just piling on. not looking past georgia st. long gone are the days in latin class when mr cszerback would put away whatever materials for instruction and say unto us, "you already know they're going to win by forty." whatever materials those were were just for show because the boys outnumbered the girls in that class and the girls were forever indebted to us boys for steadfastly getting our way. no latin lesson for today

Interesting note if Texas is the second round opponent. Mick is 7-1 against the Big 12 in his career at UC. 3-0 in the tournament.

Lone loss was to Iowa State at home a couple years ago.

One of those wins was a tournament win over Texas...in Nashville.

i think i remember that game. TX had Myck Kabongo, who was supposed to be a stud, and J'Covan Brown, and Cincy smoked them from the jump.

They didn't score for the first 8 minutes. When they finally made a bucket the entire Texas contingent went absolutely nuts in the best sarcastic applause I've ever heard. A buddy and I were sitting right behind Texas' bench and Rick Barnes just started laughing...it was awesome.

This is Miami's Super Bowl. Hopefully they are prepared and don't treat their trip to Buies Creek like a vacation.

Thus may be a good play in every part of the country not within 50 miles of the 275 loop
