I’ve had one hella run with our squad this year and have enjoyed it immensely. Someone in a thread earlier thought our tougher path was an edge for Marshall and I didn’t really buy it. But we didn’t look like we had any legs tonight. And I thought Marshall played inspired defense. Great defense that dared us to yank 3s and we did.

I ain’t even mad. Disappointed but not mad. First trip in 31 years. Congrats. That’s a long dry spell for an area of the country that loves the game of hoops. Happy for ya’ll.

How about them 304 Boys, at times this year Marshall has had 4 WV Kids on the floor. And on Senior night at one time had 5. Please the rest of the nation keep your nose outta WV, Dan will take them all.

Wonder who is helping with the Grief Counseling for Jeff Goodman and Gary Parish right about now.

It was exciting, but I’m not sure it was awesome. I don’t believe either team played to their potential, but the ending was at least entertaining. I haven’t seen WKU look that lost on the offensive end all year. And I’m sure Burke hasn’t gone 2-17 very often either.

Congrats to Marshall on the win. I was impressed by your willingness to defend. That hasn’t been your way of doing things this year, but you all guarded your butts off tonight.

Exactly how I felt. The Toppers didn't play that bad but just could not make shots. Marshall's defense was tremendous but missed open looks too.
Can't be too disappointed in a team picked 6 in the preseason with one returning player to win 24 games and miss the NCAA tournament by 2 points. Next years WKU team will be loaded.

I think he was talking about WKU...they were preseason 6, we were preseason 7.

Regardless, both programs balled out this year.

Also just remember, our entire team comes back next year too.

Conference should be pretty strong next year. The top 3-4 teams are really moving up.

It is perfectly revenged...



Also, Marshall returns 100% of this tournament's production... and we have additions in the wings!
