MyBB WSU fans, welcome to the AAC
We don't play around here. No, you won't roll through the regular season...No, you don't get to win the AAC Tourney your first season.

BUT you're going to get a good NCAA Tourney seed and are primed to make a deep run.

again, welcome to a real college basketball conference.

Well, looks like 456 people will be at the game tomorrow.

Pretty much the norm for an AAC final. Haven’t had a crowd since SMU beat UCONN
In Hartford in 2015.

that's why it should be somewhere like FedExForum (Memphis) or BOK Center (Tulsa)

better access for SMU, Tulsa, WSU, Memphis, and Cincy fans.

the UCF/USF folks don't care enough about hoops.

If we go against a team with a great guard that can drive we’re going to get bounced in the first round, it doesn’t matter if that team is a 14 seed. If we go against a team that we match up well against, we’ll win. It doesn’t matter if that team is a 1 seed. The conferences have nothing to do with it.

Wichita State was a 10 seed last year. They'll likely be a 4 seed this year. Third in this conference is a really solid season. Glad to have them and their fans on board.

Don't disagree with any of this. I would add that because they're in our conference they raised the profile up several ticks and provided quality wins/losses/SOS/RPI Quads etc., etc. I'd hate to think of our league this year with UCONN, Memphis and Temple not righting the ship just yet and throw in SMU's and UCF's injuries. We'd be just a 2 bid league and likely getting higher NCAAT seed lines on the selection show tomorrow.

The ironic thing is we have the best OOC win in the conference over Arizona and maybe the second best over USC. Frustrating season for us, but again, we’ll bounce back.

SARCASM ALERT
When did a 3 bid average conference become a "real" conference? 03-nutkick I seem to recall AAC fans typically were not happy with NCAA seedings in the past few years. 05-stirthepot

An ECU fan talking about basketball attendance is comical. There were as many UC fans there for our game as Wichita had for its game. On the other hand, Memphis and Houston had no more than 50-75 each. Houston's showing particularly abysmal. Too bad they didn't see their team play a truly outstanding game.

Funny how all these big bad schools had to be validated by WSU.

is that supposed to be impressive? moral of the story, Orlando is not a good location for the AAC tourney.

Dude, I really have no clue what you mean? Never heard of a true basketball school needing validation from WSU. I just stated a fact with sarcasm. AAC should be grateful WSU prevented them from being a 2 bid league for a second straight year. HINT - ANOTHER SARCASM ALERT Mid-major conferences like the AAC should be thrilled with a three bid year. 03-nutkick

I will admit, I truly thought WSU would run through the AAC like hot knife thru butter. Can't believe WSU is happy with the outcome after all the pre-season hype. Were there injuries to the team? Was it just a young talented team that didn't meet expectations? I really know very little about WSU.

once Temple, UCONN, and Memphis get back up to speed, people that still call the AAC mid major will look like fools....
