An ECU fan talking about basketball attendance is comical. There were as many UC fans there for our game as Wichita had for its game. On the other hand, Memphis and Houston had no more than 50-75 each. Houston's showing particularly abysmal. Too bad they didn't see their team play a truly outstanding game.
Oh please. We have tv in houston. Lotsa fans watched the games on those. It's really cool and some folks said theirs is 3K high divinity, whatever that is.

I understand why he doesn't indicate this anywhere.
Those redneck hillbillies would roll us now. Badly.
Proud Wolfpacker that loves college sports. Gladly put NCSU basketball history against most AAC schools. I will be the first to admit, NCSU does not hold a candle to UCONN's basketball history. As for employment from my NCSU degree, lets say I have had never had to worry about money. Then again, I have reviewed or had many of the AAC schools alumni work for me. Then again, apparently SMU prefers to close their mind than hire the best talent. I have been able to separate sports from professional decisions. I am just looking forward to the days where I no longer care or have to worry about underlings. Sadly, most millennials lack of professionalism and work ethic no matter the school. Why I have learned you need to put SARCASM ALERTS for AAC fans, they fit in with the snowflake society and get easily offended. That is cool thing about knowing message boards are for fun and not life impacting events.

Pay attention, Pony was talking about Texas Tech, NOT NC State. NC State is a good school, that's not debatable. What is at issue is that your fans have outsized expectations that never match performance. You have zero right to come here to trash talk the AAC or any of it's schools. NC State athletics is the definition of mediocrity in a major conference.

That is the problem for the AAC, each school is looking out for themselves and will bolt at the first chance.
that's life. you gotta look out for yourself because no one else is gonna do it for you.
And what exactly would any school do differently if it wasn't looking to make the P5?
Either you all have buy-in to become the "Power Conference" you claim or not. That is why outside the AAC, the P5 in football and P6 in basketball don't consider the AAC nothing but CUSA 2.0 teams looking for the 30 pieces of silver to get out of the AAC. If Big East expands, WSU should be the first to jump to be like the rest of the AAC teams.
Whenever you actually decide to answer the question, let us know.
Oh, never mind. Your condescension in this post and the next one pretty much disqualifies you from having a say that anybody here will respect.

One again, I don't disagree some NCSU fans are living from 30 years ago. If you ever read my posts, I am the first to say NCSU exceeded my expectations in basketball. We have underperformed in Basketball and Football for a good while now. SARCASM ALERT - Before ECU tries to talk trash in basketball, when exactly was ECU's last NCAA appearance? It should be easy for you all since you have a grand total of, count em, TWO appearances. Lets say I think it safe to say NCSU had two sweet sixteen appearances in the past five years which matches ECU's total NCAA appearances . Even better, your last CWS appearance. At least many of the other schools have brought some value to the AAC.

RE: WSU fans, welcome to the AAC
We’re way off topic here. This thread is supposed to be all about the Shockers. In fact, all threads are supposed to be about the Shockers.
But I digress.
I’ve given this some thought. Clearly there is a problem with WSU. After all, the Shocker fan base picked them to skate through the AAC, playing the end of the bench in all the blowouts they expected. Heck, their second string was capable of multiple wins.
So what happened? Where did it go so wrong?
They have a deep, talented Senior-led team.
They have multiple NBA prospects.
They have an awesome coach.
They have a fantastic home arena.
Most of their cheerleaders aren’t two-baggers and their band can hold a tune.
Only thing I can see that they need?
Better fans.
Not more fans. They have plenty.
Better fans.
Looking forward to a great finale tomorrow.

Welp, when you start your entire argument on a lie, you're bound to lose.
Such a worthless effort, Sad Bud.
Btw, welcome back to the board. It's been a while. What's up?

You are NCSU, not UNC or Duke. Most famous part of your school in athletics for the past 2 decades was pushing Russell Wilson to Wisconsin for his last year over him playing baseball in the spring and summer. Probably the worst decision in college football regarding player roster in the last 20 years. Next best thing known about your school is Phillip Rivers, and his college coach who always wore sunglasses.

Nowhere do I mention anything about us. I'm wasn't comparing ECU to NC State. I'm talking about the AAC and you coming to this board to troll. I know perfectly well ECU's athletics history. Outside of a few good years in baseball and football we are nothing special. The point is that NC State has been operating with monetary resources for generations that some of our schools have never sniffed and you've done **** all with it. Yet you come here as a fan of a mediocre athletic program that should be in the hunt for national prominence every year with the resources you have. And you aren't. And since you brought us up, I did say that State would roll us now. Also State has been our ***** in football for over thirty years, 10-6 since 1983. Go away.

A real basketball conference? This conference became real when we joined it.

If it wasn't for the miraculous bi-century resurgence of Houston basketball, it literally would have been Cincinnati and the 10 dwarfs. Once we joined, the conference had a chance to dig itself out of the mid-major hole it was quickly sinking into.
