Reaves got out fought for the ball because he got body checked. Whoever was moving in the direction of the ball was going to get it. Reaves was punished for being in a better position.

Best position is between the ball and your opponent. It's why guards dribble the ball on the hip opposite from defenders. Why big guys post up defenders, why rebounders block out.

Reeves lost that 50/50 ball because Gray Fouled him multiple times

Gray stayed in perfect defensive position, played the ball beautifully and then punked Reeves when it came to the 50/50. If Reeves was playing angry that wouldn't have happened.

The second part is the exact opposite of what happened in the game

Lol nothing in the rule book says incidental contact is a foul.

I'm sure it makes you feel all warm inside, but even the national media said it was a no call in live action and replay.

I checked the box score, Gray didn't have a foul

Had Reeves been stronger than a six year old girl he would not have gotten the ball taken off of him twice by Gray and spent so much time at the end of the game stumbling around.

I didn't realize playing angry meant waiting for the referees to give you what you want instead of earning it.

You loss, it wasn't a foul. WSU is the third best team in the conference. Surprise. Well not for most of us.

i completely disagree, he had 2 hands, gray had 1 hand on it ...this was a battle of strength and gray won
you can seen reaves hands moving the direction gray was pushing it out, despite having 2 hands on it..that exact same play with mcduffie and mcduffie yanks that ball out and secures posession..easily

Pretty much everything here is incorrect.

Picture evidence shows that gray got zero ball. One hand arm on Reaves arm. 1 hand on Reaves hand. So saying he got one hand on the ball is factually incorrect.

Reaves jumped vertically, gray jumped diagonally into Reaves. Therefore Reaves had better position. Saying Gray had better position is factually incorrect.

Uhhhhh your video further proved my point. Contact was made at 3 different points on Reaves while Reaves had 2 hands on the ball BEFORE Gray touches the ball.

Only on this board would fans be blaming Marshall or the refs. The blame lies with the kids on the floor. They looked frantic. The in bounds intercepted pass. The missed dribble and almost losing the ball on the last possession. I am sure the kids are blaming themselves and they should. On to the Tournament where they WILL rebound.

the funny thing is that for all the coplaining wihcita fans are doing on the refs, you wouldnt even notice that the only reason they had a lead was becuase of these 2 foul calls
