I'm not saying it happened, I'm just saying it makes sense if it did.

Tubby is gone and it is a better situation for him. He will have the last laugh for sure. I just have one question about Penny, if he really loves this university, wouldn't he campaign for its basketball team to succeed? What did he do for the last 2 years to support your program? He has not said a word about the rumors. Don't you think that Tubby's lawyer gave you guys a heads-up? I wish you all the best. I will be back here next year like I did on TT board. I have a serious doubt about your next coach but again like Kentucky (BCG era) and Minnesota, Tubby did have the last laugh.

Did you go back to the TT board this year to remind them what they are missing with Tubby?

Maybe the problem isn't with Kentucky, Minnesota, and Memphis, but with the guy who rubbed people at all three places the wrong way with his stubborn attitude.

Would that laugh happen to take place on his way to the bank?

Would that laugh take place on a beach at an University of Memphis funded vacation house in the Bahamas?

Would that laugh take place while he is on the sidelines or High Point University?

It won’t matter because we won’t care about Tubby. If Penny fails as a coach, we’ll have the money to move on to the next coach but by then we’ll remember what it looks like to have a sellout crowd in FedExForum again.

Perhaps the dumbest post I've ever seen here. And, it came from a Kentucky fan! What are the chances of that? (ha, ha, ha).

Billy G. got axed from Kentucky in two years, then got axed from Texas Tech in 1 one year. Has 1 Sweet 16 in 8 years of D-1 head coaching.

And, yet, somehow, someway TS is a much, much worse coach that Billy.

I think you've been drinking too much Kentucky bourbon.

If Billy had done his job at Kentucky, we wouldn’t have lost Cal. Thanks to Billy sucking, we get Pastner then Tubby. Maybe now we can finally get back to playing some Memphis Tiger basketball.

If Dan Wolken had done his job and found out about the NCAA letter and written an article, Kentucky would have been scared off from Cal. Cal might have left evidently, but we would have gotten that one class.

Nah! Kensucky has thorough(breads) and can shield off ANY attacks from NC2A, just like Tarheels.... That’s THE MAIN attraction to be there...Cal can do his dirt and NOT feel threatened that NC2A has the chutzpah to rain on his parade.... Conversly, lil ol Memphus can be litigated for ANY infractions 03-shhhh

Kentucky was given the “death penalty” once in the 50s and almost got it again in 1989. Only 5 programs have ever been subject to it

Pretend you're a HS recruit. Who has more influence on you playing for MEMPHIS? The Head Coach? Or a former star alum/HS coach?

Quit it. If Tubby wants a Memphis kid (who grew up a Tiger), then he needs to go get them. Period. None of the other Top 10 paid coaches are failing to make the tournament. No other Top 10 paid coach is struggling to get along with local HS coaches or alum. HE GETS PAID TO MAKE THESE THINGS WORK. Period.

Yeah that lowdown Penny Hardaway doing all that hatin on Coach Tubby. I bet it was Penny that put D.J. Jeffries dad up to tell the story he told on the radio yesterday about bumping into Coach Smith at an event and Smith didn't know who he was until. D.J.'s dad identified himself. And Penny was also behind Coach Smith still not recruiting him as hard as the other schools after that.

That low down Penny Hardaway went to great lengths to make sure that the Memphis staff was gonna do it their way and not stay on top of key recruits like Tyler Harris until it was almost to late. And Penny was behind Tyler Harris dad saying on the radio that after the initial push they didnt hear a ton from the Memphis staff. Penny is a master of the Jedi mind control tactics that made this staff dig their heels in, not embrace the city, basically insult the fanbase and everything else that has taken place. I guess Penny is like the character The Kingpin, the puppet master that has Memphis on lockdown and also doubles as the old time radio character The Shadow, he can influence minds.

Cal is like the boy in the plastic bubble! Can’t be touched.... they’ve put in mea$ure$ so that “history” doesn’t repeat itself! You REALLY DON’T think that ANYTHING is going on @ Kentucky.... lemme show you an AMAZING deal on some lightly drenched properties in wonderful Houston 03-shhhh

And Tubby want to "Crock Pot Slow Cook" the program when there are kids that are able to give him the lift he needed...Lawson's hard to deal with buy they are the LAWSON'S. Deal with it! $3MM
