Did anyone hear the postgame last night? They interviewed Bryant Stith on Monarch postgame because Jones was tied up with CUSA press conference. Alexander asked him if the players had a little extra momentum because of the way things went down at WKY. He response was pretty cool. He said our team was experienced and they didn't miss anything that went on that night ( there were some extracirrular things going on around that game) and they were ready to play. He said they had played Johnson too soft in the previous two games and felt like they would be ready for him. Said they also needed to shut down the penetration of the guards. As for us he said that they needed Randy to get going. I hope he can get out of his funk. He has had a couple of bad games now. It's time for him to step up. GO MONARCHS!!!! Let's win one at a time!

No you are right. Defensively, the way to beat WKU is to force them to hit from the outside. Bearden and Hollingsworth have really bad % from 3. You have to make them hit outside shots and keep them out of the lane. If they are hitting shots, then you tip the cap and try to match them offensively. Stansbury has no control over these guys. If they get down big or their shots aren't falling, Stansbury will lose them.

Offensively, we have to have one of our better shooting nights tonight. We are not going to dominate them on the glass and Coleby and Johnson can defend Porter and Stith. Porter getting Coleby into foul trouble would be huge. Pray that Randy shoots well from the outside. I think BJ settled in last night and will have a good performance today. It cannot be all Ahmad. We have to play our best game of the year to win tonight. You will know how this game is going to go in the first 5 minutes.

Speaking of Ahmad. He needs to chill. He seems to get too amped up for big games a lot of times and tries to do to much.

Yeah. He was settling for some crazy deep 3s last night. We also dumped passes into Trey when he was already doubled. Not good.

WKU's games were against UAB. Ours were against La Tech and FIU. Apples and oranges. Thank said, we can win if we bring our A game.

WKU made only 4 more 3s than ODU in the two game (but they were more efficient). However the FT% is misleading...ODU's 23 fouls led to WKU going 24-33 FT while WKU's 32 fouls led to ODU going 15-22. WKU is VERY good at drawing contact when they penetrate...if you back off they shoot open 3s.

What makes WKU dangerous is the efficient 3s plus the FT differential.
