Didn't UAB release Mykal Riley and Joe Tiller from their LOI's when Anderson went to Missouri? I know this is a different deal but I can't imagine UAB not releasing Boyce if he asks.

Has anyone checked to see if Nate Darlings high school coach got a new job? Maybe we should speculate about him transferring.

It's common practice to release a player when the coach who signed you transfers. It is unheard of to release a player because his high school coach got a job somewhere.

Again, I am even sure Penny would have a spot for Boyce if Boyce wanted to transfer. Boyce is not from Memphis and has had negative things to say about Memphis on twitter. Penny if hired will be going after the Wichita State signee and Tyler Harris and DJ Jeffries before he goes after Boyce. They are all higher ranked than Boyce.

The reason doesn't matter. The sport doesn't matter. Name one instance, in any sport, when UAB hasn't released a player from an LOI when they have requested it. UAB is one of the good guys in college athletics when it comes to stuff like this, I know this for a fact. If asked they will release him, wish him well and move on.

What does "LOI" mean? Also, what does "trolling" mean?

OK name two. 03-weeping Seriously, I didn't realize Watkins was never released. Wonder why he went juco instead of prep school and burned the year?

If Haase did that to him, I don't agree with it and don't see how that helps our program or the kid. You don't want him here if he doesn't want to be here so then it comes down to punishing the player. UAB usually does things differently from the sharks that swim in our waters and I'm proud of that.

Subsequently, went to FSU, transferred to Little Rock where I don't think he ever played a game...

Darling is too slow and very sloppy handling the rock. No way could he break a press or run the offense.

I disagree.

Darling turns the ball over every time his feet touch the paint when he's not putting up a shot. If he would commit to the shot once in the paint, he would be fine.

His post entry passes seem like 50/50 ball lately. He needs to be shoot first , shoot second .
