Not expecting Ryan Boyce in green and gold either. How do we improve the current roster.

Until enrollment for the 2018 fall semester, we won't know for sure who will make up our teams in either men's revenue sports. I remain optimistic that both teams will be improved over the previous season.

Regarding the loss of Cokley and Lee, I am reminded of the pessimism in UTK after Peyton Manning graduated. The UTK fans had expected both a Heisman Trophy and a National Championship that year. They got neither. They did however win the NC the next year led by Mobile's own T Martin at QB. Sometimes things don't work out exactly as expected so UAB fans should remain optimistic about 2018. Just don't bet the house.

Why do you think Boyce won't be here? He has signed an LoI. Can't get out of it without sitting out a year.

There's already talk that Penny is going to use the sick relative excuse for the Wichita State signee so he can get a hardship transfer to Memphis. I seriously doubt everyone is going to have a sick relative.

I don't think Memphis will have a spot for him. They are not going to dismiss the entire team due to APR issues. Penny is going to be bringing other players better than him. He is the fourth or fifth best player on Penny's high school team, and then there are players on his AAU team to consider as well as other players.

On social media, he has indicated that he is UAB all the way. I think you are just trying to stir up crap.

They wouldn't have to release a whole maybe one or two guys. Does all the players graduate this year?

Yes he has been pro UAB, if Penny gets the job and he's still pro UAB then great but I think he goes with Penny.

It should be stated that there is absolutely nothing out there about Boyce not coming to UAB. This is just the speculation of one insane troll. It should be deleted like the idiotic ramblings of another poster a few weeks ago about Bryant transferring.

Speculating about Boyce isn't trolling. It's a legitimate concern given the situation with his coach and UMemphis.

Didn't UAB release Mykal Riley and Joe Tiller from their LOI's when Anderson went to Missouri? I know this is a different deal but I can't imagine UAB not releasing Boyce if he asks.

Borderline trolling and the board as a whole is getting tired of it.

It's common practice to release a player when the coach who signed you transfers. It is unheard of to release a player because his high school coach got a job somewhere.

Again, I am even sure Penny would have a spot for Boyce if Boyce wanted to transfer. Boyce is not from Memphis and has had negative things to say about Memphis on twitter. Penny if hired will be going after the Wichita State signee and Tyler Harris and DJ Jeffries before he goes after Boyce. They are all higher ranked than Boyce.
