RE: Tribe article in R-TD
From the article, by Samantha Huge:
“(But) it is a strong basketball program. People look at that one thing, but this program is remarkable, not only on the floor, but the students it produces and the character that they have, and the citizens that not only they are for us now, but how they go on and lead lives of impact. It’s incredible.”
That should absolutely put to rest any talk of Shaver being on any hot seat!

I don't think anyone thinks Shaver is on the hot seat (at least that I know of). The argument seems to be over whether he should be on the hot seat.

My question is whether Huge will throw money at the program knowing it is in good hands. My guess is that she will try.

My current pet peeve (among others that all of you well know) is the pre-occupation with making the Dance, and the lack of praise / understanding for what this program has achieved recently after the other Virginia schools left the CAA.
I like that the AD refers to the program as a strong program, because it is ... we just need some more toys to make it stronger.
I like that Tony is now publicly talking about taking the next step (making the Dance) because he must feel confident that the foundation is there for the next step to occur... as opposed to catching lightning in a bottle.
The house has been / is being built. There is momentum. Let's enjoy the journey!
