Some nice home games this week.

Arkansas State decided to schedule the UTM game last second to make up for all of our rainouts. Hilariously, the game was played in 40+ MPH Wind gusts and blowing out. Meaning it was 1. Cold as Hell and 2. High Scoring.

AState beats the Skyhawks 13-5 We're now 6-3 on the year.

Alabama State @ USA was canceled.

T9th, TXST holding a 6-1 lead over Rice.

Troy beats Samford 5-4

Bobcats get a 6-2 win over Rice . . . Exacting a measure of revenge for an 8-6 loss earlier this season.

TXST moves to 7-4 on the year.

The Sun Belt is currently the #6 ranked conference in baseball, only behind the P5 conferences. Lot's of baseball left, but we're looking better than last season when we were the #9 conference.

sorry the mavs are not doing their part. lost to Baylor last night. have now given up 48 runs in the last five games. not looking good this year. the pitching is not getting the job done and we have no offense to counter with.

Both of App's midweek games were cancelled.

Not to start this name discussion but it’s Louisiana, LSUA&MBR knows that after tonight

I do have to say that the Sunbelt I think is more of a baseball conference then anything else we really got some top tier baseball, GS, Coastal, Louisiana, South Alabama are all top 25 teams.

ULM is going strong as well. Our RPI as a conference should be pretty high this year.

Top 25 for all those teams is a major stretch. The biggest difference I've noticed this year is that we've not really had a bad loss in RPI terms. I mean, we've seen teams take ugly losses, but we are winning a large portion of our midweek games and at least getting 2 out of 3 on the weekend.

Georgia Southern is awful. Nowhere near top 75, let alone 25.

Glad to see a sign of life from Louisiana

GS having serious issues with walks by pitchers and there is no offense to speak of. We also have three long-term injuries (likely a fourth after last night, but no official word yet).

There will likely be some improvement as the freshmen settle in, but it’s going to have to be significant improvement if we want to contend in any way during conference play.

Historically has had a good baseball team!
