UAB as a 6th seed
0-2

‪UAB has been the 6th seed twice in its history of conference tournaments. In 1995, in the Great Midwest, UAB was the 6th of 7 seeds. In 96, in CUSA, they were 6th of 11 seeds. They are 0-2, losing in 95 to 3rd seed Marquette 55-46. In 96, they lost to 11th seed USF 73-57 (Gene Bartow's last game)

RE: UAB as a 6th seed
Two out of the past three years, the sixth seed has advanced to the championship game. Marshall last year and Middle Tennessee in 2015. The last sixth seed to lose in the first round was Central Florida in 2009.

Seems like as good a time as any to flip that record to a winning mark.

If we get to Saturday you have to wonder how our legs will be. If we would be fortunate to steamroll FAU hope we play everyone dressed. That's a big if. Just win but a blow out would be nice. WKU will be a blood bath and I predict guys will have to be separated a couple or three times. ODU will be a tall order. We need a little Blazer magic. I will chant Fire Ray Watts all night.

Yea we had a total of 6 players when we lost to to USF in that game and we were good. Think we have a little bit more this time.

If we can get past FAU which is a tall order, Western will be clammering, I 'd love to see this team pull it out. I would rest all the guys tonight and play Scootie and Smallwood but he chose to leave. So that other brother is going to have to do it.

Other brother? The Smallwood brothers? You do realize that Scootie has started every game this season?
