Braves new mascot

It is being rightly derided as a knock off Philly Phanatic and worse than Atlanta's Olympic mascot, Izzy.

Do I laugh or cry?

Lordy that's dreadful. Which is worse, the costume or the name?

I'd love to see the marketing department's justification for this thing.

If they're going to worry about a mascot then send someone out there dressed as a goofy looking peach with a Braves cap on. At least it would make some sense given the local culture. The kids don't care if the mascot is particularly memorable, they just want a little extra entertainment.

I'll give them credit though. The Freeze was a pretty cool thing last year. I'm assuming he'll be back.

I guess he has to be Brave to come out looking like that
