And us having the 2nd to last athletic budget in cusa (behind latech) WASN'T a concern already??? C'mon....same ole story. We'll continue to lose personnel to equal or less quality programs so long as they pay more. Also doesn't hurt when you've got ties with Florida and the school you're going to (FAU) is the reigning conference champion w/ Lane Kiffin as coach and a super excited fan-base. They have a budget of 32 mill and will prob. double it in 5 years...and we'll still be moping around the low 20 mill range. Plus...Boca Raton vs. Hattiesburg? That's a no-brainer in and of itself.

well, since our OC is only being paid peanuts by USM (most of his salary is from UK), our corch's budget looks pathetic, as opposed to pitiful.

Remember, the state of Mississippi does not subsidize college athletics (but OP and MSUcks ARE subsidized by the SEC, which our state legislature knows gives them a leg up...pardon the pun...on USM), while most other C-USA schools ARE subsidized!

Not concerned about losing Pecoraro as much as to whom and the reason why. The bigger problem is that our head coach may leave for an assistant coach position pretty soon at this rate.

There are boucoup ass't coaches out there that would love to corch at USM....and while they move on, it is something we have dealt with since we became a major college in 1963.

Again, we will never be subsidized like UNT or ODU, especially since OP and MSUcks are doing just fine being subsidized by the SEC. We don't bring in enough money, or have Papa Johns or Federal Express helping us "move up to the big time"...

Sucks, but it is what it is...
