Adding to positions across the LB corps from other positions (both who were starting or making significant impacts at other positions) doesn't give off the appearance of not liking their current crop? I must not be making roster moves or depth charting correctly on my team. I lumped that initial comment together with the other move (Clements to OLB) which is why Potts was included. From what I can gather, there's MAYBE 2 MLBs on the roster, so pulling a DE to MLB would imply they either don't like what they've got or aren't sure about the person coming in being ready. I don't think there's a significant logical jump being done there.

Freeman on why they made the move in addition to the comments I got from Fickell on Monday...

Thank you, always getting the good candidate responses and information the fans want. I hope the better half is doing well!

Appreciate it. She’s doing great. Next 6-8 weeks is going to be rough, but we’re almost out of the woods...

Good to hear, I'm thinking of you guys (as is everyone else around these parts).

Hopefully some good info in that one for you guys. Since no one else in town wants to show up for practice, I’m all you’ve got...04-cheers

Really appreciate it Chad! There are good things happening in Clifton - the traditional media don't care unfortunately.

It is sounding like Desmond Ridder is in the competition for qb duty. Anyone seen him? I know he's a heck of an athlete.

Is it just me, or has spring practice news been rather quiet this year?

Nobody covers it except BCJ. We’ll get a little more from the traditional media the day or two before the spring game and maybe a day after, but that is about it

Also, be sure to follow the Bearcat's football twitter account. They have some high quality videos recapping some of the going-ons over the Spring.

Here's Coach Freeman https://twitter.com/GoBearcatsFB/status/...3789107200

And a look at super recruit, Mr. Vann: https://twitter.com/GoBearcatsFB/status/...2563448832

I don't think Malik Vann is getting redshirted. I wouldn't be surprised to see him contributing game one.

Updates from Chad Brendel - Tyrell Gilbert, Ethan Tucky and Fickell after practice #7 and 8.

Also, good spring practice midpoint article at Cincinnati.com

ya think!

barring injury, there isn't a chance in the world that he RS. The only questions are, inside, or outside on the DL? and 1st, or 2nd, team?

RE: Spring Football
Apparently Trail was excused from practice today. He wasn't happy about his role, according to Twitter. That to me says that Ridder has been playing really well and/or Bryant looks really sharp.

Hayden practiced today with an arm injury.

Here come all of the "I told you so"s from everyone who was calling this, though without anything of substance until now.

51-79, 525 yards, 1 TD and 6 INTs with 2 returned for TDs
25 rushes for 31 yards and 1 lost fumble

Constantly on the bench behind Hayden Moore.

I wasn't saying the kid was transferring, but he's obviously not the guy and I'm glad to see the young guys getting their shot.

The telling tale to me was last year, when they continued to run Hayden out there. He may have had a better summer, until his injury, but he obviously wasn't wowing in practice every week.
