Quality Article by Mr. Alexander
Nice article by Elton Alexander in today’s print edition of the PD. Obviously the topic of NCAA rules violations is no fun but I think the article is worth a read. Point of interest for us would be how Coach Senderoff’s “crimes” wouldn’t even be investigated in today’s climate. Anyway, nice to an actual article in the PD. As critical as we can be of EA I was thrilled to see his name at the top.

"Now, I get on the NCAA for being toothless, and they're only toothless because they are beholding,'' said former Rutgers, Cleveland State and Kent State head coach Gary Waters. "I used to get frustrated because of all this. I can see why this thing is what it is. It's (college basketball) a cash cow and everybody wants a piece. I mean, there is a lot of money out there in this business."
Exactly.

The system that exists now for football and men's basketball is inherently corrupt. As long as you have on the one hand, the concept that those two sports are extracurricular activities for college students, while on the other hand being a multi-billion industry serving as a free minor league for the NBA and the NFL, corruption and scandal will continue.
