Calkins repeats the same thing many have expressed here. Namely, we have one of the highest paid coaches who practices in one of the best facilities in a city blessed with talent.

I was happy when Pastner announced he was going to Georgia Tech. Then they hired a washed up old has been. I was almost starting to think I was wrong when they were 18-7 last year. Then the wheels feel off and Tubby managed to burn the program to the ground. Firing Tubby won't make me happy. Only making a great hire THAT ACTUALLY PANS OUT will do that where it comes to Tiger basketball.

So I guess I have a 3-4 year wait........ at least.

Main difference in the two teams is that we know that four years from now the Tigers will still be playing here in the city.

No comparison between the Grizz and the Tigers. The Grizz are working for a high lotto pick and with it will be back next year. The Tigers are just pitiful this season and will be for the foreseeable future barring a dynamic coaching change. Scrubby appears to be headed towards darn near burying the Memphis basketball program.

welp...to be honest, many saw that coming. But we thought it would be sooner than today.

We thought it was imminent when 247 crystal balled him to us last week I think it was--can't remember now.

Jones is a nice player but he's what #101? Ok, good but not a program changer. Still, its nice to see the 2018 class double in size.

Yeah. He'll be a fine player a few years from now but he will be a 4-5 minute a game player next year.
