At least the Rockets were competitive against EMU, rather see the Eagles than the Cardinals. But need to take care of business against the Redhawks or Bobcats first!!! Go Rockets!!!

Ahhhhh, The Rockets need to be concerned about OU/Miami first. It won't be easy beating either of those teams.

Miami/OU will be real interesting. Ohio won both games, including at Miami on Friday night.

We are definitely on the better side of the bracket. We beat both Miami and OU on the road and WMU beat EMU on the road, albeit awhile back. We beat WMU handily and seem to match up well. I see us going to the finals if WMU gets by EMU and maybe even if they don’t.

People hope the third time is the charm if we face EMU again, and talk about how hard it is to beat a team 3 times.

Well, on the flip side, we’ve beaten both Ohio & WMU twice already.

I never bought that. People have done studies and most of the time if you won twice, you win the third. The only reason I would like our chances against EMU a bit is we’ll have seen that zone twice now and both games were close.

Ball St is the puzzle not solved. Fighter's chance against EMU and Buffalo. We have depth without too much drop-off, which really helps in tournament.

Ball state appears to be in a tail spin. I like Kent to beat them in the quarters.

EMU like Toledo can beat any team in the tournament or lose to any team in the tournament. For EMU, if we come out with a chip on our shoulders and intensity, I like our chances to play in the finals.

This can be said for buffalo as well. They only have 3 losses but lost at NIU.

Was watching some horizon conf tourney last night and northern Kentucky was 1 seed and they lost to a 10-22 Cleveland state team. Baffling.

Ohio teams killing it. Though Northern Kentucky is all but a couple miles an Ohio team I suppose.

So how's come MAC tourney starts so late? This has to affect NCAA performance, no?

Mac tourney starts same time as most major conferences. Some of the smaller conferences finish up this weekend and very early this week in order to get on national tv. Big 10 was only early this year because they played in nyc.

Oh, thanks. I don't pay much attention to anything but MAC and BIG10 (usually not even that) but I thought the scores I was seeing Friday and yesterday were from Big12 and PAC tournies. Must have been final in-season.

Yep — end of regular season for big 12 and pac 10. Those will start up first half of this week.

I think there’s a big disadvantage to leagues playing conf tourneys early. Some sit around for 2 weeks in between end of conf tourney and start of ncaa. That isn’t good for a basketball team usually.

My thinking was off by a whole week. I was thinking NCAA started next weekend. That's why I couldn't understand why MAC was "starting late."

Way too many turnovers against EMU and what's up, or down, with the free throw shooting? Clean those areas up and things are looking up.
