if we put 3 guys on the all tournament team, no one will care that David got slighted, if you know what I mean.

Tournament MVP would be a pretty good consolation prize...

Chealey was 1st in the conference in Win Shares. Riller 2nd, Pusica 3rd, JWF 4th, and Cacok all the way down...at 6th, just a shade behind Zane Martin.

Cohn and Knight were tied at 7th (with Siebring). Pierce was 10th.

and dominated some games.

That’s ridiculous.

How did he do against NU in both games compared to Pusica?

Cohn was outplayed in both contests.

I'm not arguing Cohn is a better PG than Pusica , though I believe it is debatable. I have no issue with Pusica being where he is leading a conference championship team. I take more issue with Cohn being 3rd team disregarding the actual impact he had on games all season. Basing a seasonal award ranking on two contests is ridiculous.

I didn’t respond to Cohn being on the 3rd team.

It was the “no one’s played better point guard than Cohn” that got my attention and me to respond.

RE: 2017-18 CAA Men's Basketball Awards
POY and 1st. team all CAA should be renamed Offensive POY and 1st. team All Offense the way this shakes out.

I find it hard to believe that Cacok was fifth in voting totals. There's a reason we have four guards and one forward 1st. team, and that's because scoring rules. The problem with that concept is that guards control the ball and decide who takes shots and when. It also punishes PG's who distribute the ball and look to get other team mates involved, which generally leads to winning teams.

Rarely will centers and forwards lead a team or conference in scoring, although Cacok put up a pretty healthy 17.2 ppg along with an astounding 14.5 rebounds pg.(to lead the nation). I'm simple about this. If we were "picking teams" for a pickup game before the CAA tournament, who do I pick first? I would pick Cacok, hands down. I want him on my team before anyone else. THAT is the POY.

Just to put this somewhere:

Connor may be able to use our support to gain him some recognition for the 3 point contest. Please, if you have social media accounts, do all you can to retweet, like, post everything you can to draw attention to Connor's phenomenal 3 point skills.
