That's because UNC's place at the federal teat is secured. You don't have to worry about it.

The record enrollment is for undergraduates.
The federal monies flow into graduate and professional schools

I thought A&M was huge when my wife graduated from there (40K) it's now sitting at 60k

A&M at least has the physical space to accommodate it since it sits on huge tracts of still empty land it owns and has the money but at this rate, it will be a public school in name only very soon
