Like someone or a lot of someones said, worst loss in forum history, minimum.

Oh I don't think that's the minimum. Imma go ahead and call it the worst loss in Tiger history until someone convinces me otherwise. At home against a sub 300 team by more than 20 points.

I mean it wasn't a close game that got away from us. It was an ass kicking. By the shittiest team in the top 7 conferences.

Can't argue with that.

It is arguably the worst loss ever.

Not the most painful but a blowout loss, blown out by halftime and never closer than 19 in the second half to one of the worst teams in the country is simply about as bad as it gets.

I don't think the 4 game win streak fooled anyone except for Tubby and staff. People made it seem like Tubby "proved people wrong" over the 4 game streak, not the smart fans at least. This is the calling card of a well coached mediocre team (talent wise). They are going to win a game or 2 that they shouldn't and lose games that they shouldn't. Just an average team at best.

When did we lose to Oklahoma Christian College? Why were we ever playing Oklahoma Christian College?

Different times back then. You had to win your conference to get in the big dance back then so non conference schedule didn't matter.

What's even more painful than this embarrassing loss is the fact that Tubby and his staff most likely be here next year.

Had to search the Media Guide. Dec. 3, 1979. Lost 90-76. Still ended up 5-7 in the conference.

Also beat a ranked Arkansas that year, but lost to Louisville three times.

Can't find Ok. Christian on there, so I assume they weren't D1, but there are only 267 teams ranked and it's quite possible that a good D2 team was better than some of those bad D1 teams.

So still not convinced it's a worse loss. Need more info.

So they were probably a pretty decent team.

I'm still claiming last night as the worst loss in Tigers history until there is another challenger.

Edit: I also think ECU might be the second worst loss ever so I'm going with the Tigers have suffered the two worst losses in the schools history (OK at least in the modern era) under Tubby's stewardship this year until someone provides convincing evidence otherwise. I'm not counting CBU because it wasn't an on the record game, but if you want to count that I still think last night was worse. So 1. UCF last night, 2. CBU, 3. ECU, 4.OK Christian 1979.

What else we got.

According to the CBB Reference simple rating system, USF is ranked 264 out of 351, with a rating of -7.93 (0.0 being average).

I can't find anything even close to that.

And as Briskbas notes, ECU is actually still rated WORSE at 265 out of 351.
