I made that decision when they hired him.. I’ve actually watched 2 games in the last 4 years and I never missed one in the last 35 plus years..

He's only getting paid 2.9 million. Tony Bennett at Virginia is getting paid 3 million. Either Virginia is getting a lot of bang for their buck or Memphis is seriously overpaying for the product we are getting.

The bad part is Virginia is full of guys that even AAC schools could obtain. Its not like they have a Duke or Kentuxky roster.

I read this article about Virginia the other day and thought the same thing. UVA has only recruited one McDonald's All American in the last five years. He built that program the way people thought Tubby would build our's: coaching 'em up and instilling a team culture predicated on hard work and selflessness.

Alas, it looks like the major difference is that Bennett can get kids to buy in to what he's selling.

Memphis would be over paying at 1.5 million.
