He and Carey seem to be rowing the same boat down the river of stupidity. Both are experts at stupid comments. Just keep your mouth shut and try to build a winner in your own house. As the AD of an average G5 program, he has no basis to make such comments.

His mouth was running faster than his brain. Anyone that holds the position of AD should be more diplomatic with his public comments.

Can’t help but laugh at the ridiculous comments he makes to bring attention to NIU and himself. We must remember he is an Alabama Crimson Tide Guy. Alabama snuck into that playoff even though their record should have kept them out and still won. I’ll give him a pass since he‘s a Bama alumn. Funny that they didn’t mention his football roots in the article.

I wonder if there's something going on behind the scenes that precipitated this response. The article mentions that he says what many are thinking but there's got to be more to that. You don't just throw down against a conference that many want to see us join without a reason. Maybe it's as simple as building bridges with the P5 conferences for potential relationships (jobs, games whatever). Either way it is bold.

Sounds like the aac is never happening. If NIU was UCF I’d be wanting them to do the same exact thing that UCF did. They got so much publicity at the end of the season
