Play continues as Erica is down under Rice basket. Hope it's a cramp and nothing more serious.

No answer tonight for their guard #4. She only averages 13.7 and 26% from 3 but not tonight.

Think we're just exhausted at this point. Been a steady decline in performance. 6-7 player rotations always come back to haunt you, not that we really had much of a choice.

Yep. Reverting to the mean after some very good coaching salvaged a decent season from a train wreck.

If you have a short rotation, that's just a reflection of poor planning by the coaching staff. Everyone has injuries and other sources of roster depletion. 15 scholarships should mean a women's team never should have this issue.

??? Two starters injured preseason and out for the season. Another starter suffers concussion two weeks into the season, and has effectively been out ever since. You're nuts if you think that's a reflection of poor planning.

15 minus 3 equals 12. You're a moron if you cannot do simple math.

Three starters. Some of the twelve are transfers.

Oh, let's resort to name calling now? First off, I believe 2 of those remaining 12 are transfers, and sitting out the season. Second, there's a big difference between playing with projected starters and playing with inexperienced subs. We lost 3 of our projected 5 starters (60% of the starting 5) for the season. Unless you're Connecticut (Women) or Kentucky/Duke (men), no team can survive that without a significant hit.

RE: WBB Rice vs LA Tech
I don't think you can really blame the staff. Asking them to fill every single of our 15 scholarships with game-ready players is not realistic for any team except maybe the top 10 in the country.

Let's just hope Erica's injury isn't serious, we can gut it out on Saturday without her and maybe get lucky enough to get the 4 seed, and hit the reset button in the conference tournament.

RE: WBB Rice vs LA Tech
I can’t really fault the coaching that much with so many injuries. Coach Langley really did not have much to work with when she came here. I think the only thing that was kinda strange is why didn’t we try press more or foul earlier at the end of the game. It’s like Langley was giving up when Erica got hurt.

And then later without the ice pack, but still with a noticeable limp.
