Putin said today as he begins his re-election campaign that Russia has two nuclear-capable weapons - a cruise missile and a submarine-launched unmanned underwater vehicle.

The warhead, he said, was "a low-flying, difficult-to-spot cruise missile with a nuclear payload with a practically unlimited range and an unpredictable flight path, which can bypass lines of interception and is invincible in the face of all existing and future systems of both missile defence and air defence."

He argued that Russia had reacted after years of pleading with the US not to break away from anti-missile treaties.

So, he’s getting nearly as desperate as fat boy rocket man.

Inconsequential really. Putin knows what any nuclear strike against the US would lead to, just as Trump knows what a strike against Russia would lead to. The number of conventional IBCM's possessed by both countries still maintains the balance created by mutually assured destruction.

The "practically unlimited range" aspect makes me want to call BS. Small enough to evade radar, able to carry a nuclear payload, highly maneuverable, yet carries enough fuel to have an unlimited range. If Russia had that type of miniature propulsion system they don't need to go to war with anybody, they would be the economic superpower.

I guess we'll have to hand over our sovereignty to Putin. Oh wellz.

I wonder if the invincible nuclear weapon uses any of the Clinton Uranium One material?
