Never believed the talk that “Mercer was the hot team or glad they are not in our bracket . “

Not that we win out , but I just didnt feel it from this bunch compared to other fine Mercer teams.

Maybe some Mercer fans can correct my assumption but I didn’t think would lay down hard earned money in Vegas on this bunch.

Neither team shot the 3 well; Wofford a little less poorly. I think Mercer's 18 TOs/Wofford's 13 steals was the biggest story. And the fact that Wofford shot the ball *very* well inside the arc: 18/28. You do that, and turn it over only 5 times yourself, and you can win some games.

Wasn't there some hope Holland could return for the tournament?

Western. Is. Awful.

For those into serious multi-tasking, and who aren't at the game in person, the Belmont/Murray St. OVC finals game is a good show. Championship game in Evansville, with a very good atmosphere.

Not a single game that ended up being remotely close today. I'll have to say *that* was a surprise.

I noticed that too and thought that was really odd considering it’s the tournament and all. I think that just shows the disparity between the bottom and top halves of the conference. I expect nothing close to that today though. These 2 games will be battles.

As long as MERCER has Bob there is no reason to fear them.

Looks like Wofford has UNCG in a fight.

Would have liked to see wofford get one of those shots to fall, but at least they both had to expend a lot of energy that game.

Agreed. Wofford had three shots and missed all three. Wow what a game!

When, on their penultimate trip down the floor, Wofford stalled around for almost the entire shot clock before Jackson put up a desperation shot, I feared that it would play out like it did. They could have, not "put the game away", but been up at least two possessions.

Yeah sometimes it is not your last trip down that beats you.

It is the one before where chaos or indecision or whatever derails you such that your last attempt is a desperate shot.
