RE: Dick's Sporting Goods
When I was getting my first handgun, I went to Dick's and looked at a Glock. When I pulled back the slide it squeaked. Asked the man helping me if it was used. He said no. Asked if it suppose to sound like that. He said yes. I walked away and have stayed away from Dicks since then. Went to the gun store/range where I learned to shoot. Payed more for my Glock, but it doesn't squeak. This was about five years ago. Last year a Cabelas opened up here in Abq. ABQ Dicks is not doing so well here.

I guess Dick's didn't realize that folks that purchased guns ALSO purchased a lot of other stuff. Couple that with Under Armour losses and Dick's finds itself in a position it doesn't want to be in.

Ironically I was in the area because my son wanted to go to Palmetto State Armory and Academy looking for a 6.5 Creedmore bolt action. He ended up getting a Savage Axis at Academy, but I did buy a couple boxes of ammo at PSA.

PSA has good prices on a lot of stuff. They have been great through mail order.

Yeah, I've made several purchases there and they are awesome. My son would have bought from them today if they would have had as good of a deal as he got at Academy.
