RE: Whom does Bond remind you of?
JaQuan peaked in high school, went to a B1G program, ended up at EMU and by all standards underachieved with the minutes he was given.
Tim originally committed to a school in Florida, then changed his mind and came to EMU as a freshman. Tim has probably exceeded expectations.
If the stats are your sticking point, notice that the per 40 stats that you posted are notably higher for JaQuan and Tim’s are much more in line with his career stats. That’s because JaQuan got less minutes. Now if you’re a B1G talent and you’re not getting Tim Bond minutes at EMU...... that doesn’t add up.
It could be blamed on Boone, a lot of folks do.
It could fall on decisions JaQuan made.
There could be other reasons.
The bottom line is that Tim and JaQuan aren’t anywhere close to the same player, even if their PPG and RPG stats are similar.

Tim Bond reminds me of an NBA player.

RE: Whom does Bond remind you of?
There are facts and there are numbers. I don't want to disparage Hart but he played on some horrible EMU teams. For example I doubt that Russell Westbrook have been the NBA MVP last year had Kevin Durant stayed in OKC. Thus if Hart were as good as Bond his individual stats should have been much better during those years.
As far as who was more heavily recruited out of high school, I have two words. Who cares? I will not until the day I see a coach hoisting a trophy at a full stadium based on his recruiting of 5 star prospects.
KPJ is spot on, there is no comparison between these two.

If you’re just talking about frame, sure.
I don’t see any other similarities.
Really? Let's look deeper. First off, the obvious, both are 6'6" 170.
Hart: career: 8.9 PPG, 2.6 Asst, 3.1 Reb. 16.3 ppg per 40, highest ppg 10.5
Bond career: 8.6 PPG, 3.0 Asst, 3.8 Reb. 11.8 ppg per 40, highest ppg 9.3
It's the same guy...

I like KPJ, I respectfully disagree with him.
The others...can you not see the IRONY of agreeing with someone who has compared Tim Bond to Anfernee Hardaway, a one time DOMINANT, perennial NBA All-Star??? and getting bent out of shape when Bond is compared to a very similar player from the exact same university?
You can't make this stuff up!
Even comparing Bond to Stacy Augmon is ridiculous. Augmon was an absolute game changer at UNLV and a solid 15 year NBA veteran.
Bond has never been a dominant player, forget being an NBA All-Star, he's never even been close to being All-MAC or MVP of his own team! Come on peeps.
I think it might even be illegal comparing Tim Bond to Penny Hardaway.

Who cares? Comparisons mean nothing, Tim like everyone is their own individual. Just ask all these NFL draft prognosticators who make comparisons that rarely pan out. Just keep this momentum train rolling through Cleveland.

This from the guy who practically cried when it was suggested that Ray Lee had a chance to make the NBA....he is one step away in the G League. But somehow, Tim Bond is similar to Hardaway.
