Wow... That's disappointing. Addison seemed like a very nice guy in college. I know he had been trying to get on with a G League Team. I hope he can get things turned around.

Ogbodo is now charged with multiple drug offenses, could be a link here.

Absolutely not, and doesn't sound like it will end well with that assortment of charges.
I certainly hope both of these are isolated offenses and not related.

RE: Update - Former UNCW coaches and players
From what I've heard the Addison drug charge was blown out of proportion... He simply had a "blunt" in the car and was charged with simple possession, which is a misdemeanor and at most will have to do community service. Now for the intimidating a witness, I'm not exactly sure about. Not to make light of his situation because obviously it's not good at all.
With Chuck, this comes as no surprise. I had always heard rumors about what he did off the court. His charges are way more serious, and he better hire a good attorney or he could be facing legitimate jail time.

So, he was doing this while he was a scholarship athlete and it wasn't a well-kept secret?

Certainly interesting that he only got busted AFTER his playing days, too. Like he was under some umbrella of protection.
This stuff happens everywhere, so we shouldn't be shocked.
Love the pure speculation on this board. Umbrella of protection? Really?

Dude has a house full of cocaine and weed and you're going to assume he didn't start this stuff until after his playing days were over? lol.

Don't worry 82, Chuck was a Buzz recruit. We're not blaming Keatts for Chuck's actions.

82 questioned the umbrella conspiracy theory, not that he was doing it. I've seen better players expelled for far less at UNCW. We have a reputation of being much less lenient than other schools. So I have to agree that the umbrella deal, with nothing to back it up, is a far reach.

The Umbrella of Protection theory is a reach... and Chuck didn't play at UNCW because he lacked talent. Let's not forget that he was pretty terrible at basketball. Keatts also suspended him on the Nashville trip last year and sent him home early. No details were ever released.

Fine. Nothing sketchy going on at all then. He just had a house of drugs and got away with it, at a school known for being strict, based solely on his own wits. It's all on Chuck here, just a rogue player. Nothing to see here.

I truly do believe this... I know that Chuck was not well liked by his teammates off the court. At least he wasn't by the ones I was friends with during my time at UNCW. He was very much a rouge player. If you think it's a stretch to believe that a student can get away with having an off-campus house full of drugs then you must have experienced college a little different than me, because it's pretty believable to me.

Weed I can totally understand. But cocaine? Damn. That's incredibly risky. Just a totally different type of clientele, and thus, different level of potential exposure.

To further elaborate, I never heard of him selling Cocaine and MDMA. So that very much could be something he started doing more recently. They were rumors anyways, who knows to what extent they were actually true. Just from what I had heard about him, the news story didn't surprise me. Now for Addison, I was shocked. From personal experiences, I always thought he was a genuinely good dude. But his charges are very minor compared to Chuck, and I can understand that people make mistakes. I hope this is a one time thing for him.

Don't know what Chuck was doing financially after graduation, but there were no more free meals per say. Maybe he upped his drug game. I don't really know. But whatever it was, it's sad to hear.

Has nothing to do with Keatts, just a statement based on nothing...as usual. Umbrella of protection means somebody was providing this umbrella, right? Who do you "speculate" was part of this umbrella? May as well jump in with both feet if you're making the accusation.
