Sorry I haven't felt interested in the team much lately, but this isn't helping.
I think we all agree at regional tv contracts simultaneously showing on caa.tv makes the most sense. Streaming is the way now but you still need to reach wider audiences

I went to caa.tv but all I saw was a listen link, there was no video icon. It's possible I was on the wrong site - the CAA website has always been hard to find anything on.

If it's going to stream, it'd be nice to have a working score bug and to actually have a decent picture and to not have the commercials be 5x louder than the game action.
Thought we had CofC. Those Chealey threes will haunt me all offseason. I mentioned on Twitter that we were doing an excellent job in boxing out on defensive rebounding opportunities, and then we ended up getting killed the rest of the way, those threes being some of the most painful. Isabell had good positioning before Chealey's second, but the ball came off a little to high for him to be able to keep it out of Charleston's hands. Good showing, hope we can continue to build next season.

RE: 2018 CAA Tournament in North Charleston
I didnt have that problem with sound. They definitely had issues through the first 2 days with the feed as well as keeping the scoreboard showing and correct.
I was super impressed by Isabell's boxing out against CofC. He was classicly lowering his body and getting his behind into the player he was boxing out. It was textbook and great to see. Our bigs and, other players in general, could learn quite a bit from him on simple fundamentals like boxing out.
Our defense as a whole this tournament keeps me excited for next season, even without Stretch. We were moving decently to stay in front our their players. When beat the help defense seemed crisp. Even one-on-one's we showed some really nice delayed double teams that caught them off guard. Seemed like everyone was playing with active hands which caused quite a few knock aways and steals. This is promising for next year that we won't be brutally bad on defense. We still need bigs and the ones we have returning need to hit the gym and learn how to rebound and not foul. On offense we still need someone who can shoot, plain and simple.

CofC found their stroke tonight against W&M and kept them at arms length. They will be fighting for the championship tomorrow night

RE: 2018 CAA Tournament in North Charleston
Through four sessions, attendance is at 3500/session. Last year was 4250/session. Other than bumping the opening round attendance, looks like the day shift was not beneficial unless 8000 show up tomorrow night.

Not surprised. Having your most important rounds during the week is foolish

RE: 2018 CAA Tournament in North Charleston
Last night’s games were 4,099. UNCW not bringing as many fans because of the day change made a big difference. Last year they had probably 1,000+ fans or more and a filled student section for all 3 games. Last night, even with UNCW on spring break, there was one row of students and maybe half of last year’s crowd. There was probably 1K there for the NU-UNCW game.
I bet everyone in the conference office is excited about CofC being in again. Otherwise tonight would have been a ghost town.

Made a difference, but shouldn't have been surprising. Wilmington to Charleston is a 3.5 hour drive on mostly non-limited access highway (intersections and traffic lights). It's a slog, I've done it, and something that would definitely require more thought than just driving down and back for them.

LOL but we were bad fans for not having enough people down for the 4 hr drive to Richmond.

Pretty sure we had the same fans show whether it was in Richmond, Charleston or Baltimore. Hell even if it were in Philly. Just saying.

NU got hosed twice, at the end of regulation and OT. Refs letting COC defenders get away with fouling going for the strip on the drive and calling turnovers.
Wonder what they’re saying over on dieharddogs.

Didn't have any way to watch the semis or finals. CofC wins 83-76 in OT. NU led the whole thing.

“The Travel” will be a sore point for NU fans for a long time. They should be back next year though, so maybe that will help.

RE: 2018 CAA Tournament in North Charleston
While some may complain about the CAA, it provided a lot of entertaining basketball throughout this season. There is a lot of talent coming back, hopefully the players are hitting the weight room and the gym and the coaches the recruiting trail, we need to show a lot of improvement next year. I suppose though the 7-point margin tonight, means we can claim a tie for second in the tournament, right. So improvement next year should mean a trip to the Big Dance.
