It would be a good class. I don't think any of them would truly contribute much next year, BUT (assuming no one transfers) a core of Harris, Jones, Jamal, Nickel, and Enoh would be good.
But they better recruit some more beef....
We have all the Slim Jim coming that we need.
But what if the “slim jim” was the next Keith Lee?
It's not 1980. They have this stuff called nutrition and weight rooms.
My point in a kidding way was, if we had us Keith Lee coming in nobody would care that he was skinny.

Hell, half the people on here would be bitching that he’s too skinny to be effective at the D1 level (and you know who you are).

Not me. I’d be yelling get the ball to Keith and let him go to work.

Myreon Jones, Wendell Mitchell, Tyler Harris (2 of the 3)
Would you be ok with it? What if its Jones and Mitchell?
Getting Mitchell is a complete waste.
And getting Mitchell and Jones might very well mean Jones gets redshirted.
Memphis will be returning all 80 minutes (plus) at the guard spots next year. Mitchell will be a junior and doesn't project to take minutes away from Martin or Brewton. And certainly won't take minutes away from Johnson.
So, I don't know where he'll get minutes, unless Tubby decides to use a three guard lineup next year--which then limits minutes to Davenport and the Nickel.
Memphis is already full at the 4/5 with Conover/Azab/Parks/Thornton/Enoh.
Mitchell is who we do need...We need to balance the roster and a Juco guards fits that bill for when Martin and Brewton leave and he will likely be much more ready to contribute than Malik was when he got here.
So now maybe Martins minutes goes down to low 30's, Johnsons and the guards gets some run at the 3 on occasion since Rivers will be gone.
This is not the dire picture you are trying to paint but it is likely a moot point because seems like some serious recruiters are on this kid.
It's the OPPOSITE of dire, goofball.
I am noting that Memphis is completely stacked at the 1 and 2. The level of talent being recruited doesn't seem to be good enough to take minutes away from those three.
At least with frosh, you can let them come along slowly, get a few minutes then move on after that and have three years to go.
With Mitchell, there is nothing to indicate he would jump the three in rotation, so 50% of his eligibility would be wasted on being the 4th guy. (Unless, like I ALREADY noted, Memphis goes to a 3 guard rotation).
But then you run into taking minutes away from Davenport and/or the Nickel if a guard starts getting a chunk of minutes at the three.
Having a balanced roster is extremely important and you need experienced guards on the squad.
Myreon fits the bill for both of those cases. Bringing in a Frosh keeps you with a young roster and very little experience in the backcourt after next year. Obviously if you have a choice between him and a highly rated Freshmen you take the better player but if you are not getting a highly rated freshmen you take to Juco to balance the roster
