CBS has launched a new streaming only sports network - CBS Sports HQ. It is a free, advertiser supported service like CBSN. Also like CBSN, it is a 24 hour live anchored service - essentially its own version of ESPNews. It can be viewed through the existing CBS Sports App on mobile and set top streaming devices, as well as on PCs. It launched today. I've watched some of it, and it is pretty good.

Product looked good in the 10 minutes I watched it.

I'm not entirely sure there's a big market for this. But as an adult who used to always have Headline News on the TV in the background in my younger days - I hope this sticks.

No, that's the beauty of it. Like CBSN, it's a pure streaming service.

So basically its like Stadium but without live games. At least Stadium has the OTA broadcasts.

I believe the CBS Sports App already streams some games from CBS. The Syracuse-Miami game was shown a week ago. This is not related to CBS Sports HQ, although that is shown thru the CBS Sports App.

It's more akin to ESPNews or sports radio with video.

CBSSports should stream most of their games.Have internet only ads and use it as a platform to promote all their networks.Try it for six months/year and go forward.

Those were the days, only way you could get a score was follow their tracker on the bottom. Never watch it now after they stopped the half hour format..

YEP! It was a very good product then. High-quality, with little fluff.
