Things have been disappointing but I would argue that the needle hasn't moved. Do you remember where we started? We should be above .500 and I'm not satisfied with mediocre but that's better than 5 wins. Underachieved this year for sure. I don't know if he'll get another year or not but I believe we will be much better next season. If he goes, I really don't like the idea of starting all over again.

This is all delaying the inevitable. It was virtually impossible for the program to get any worse than under Patton. Do you remember how often the words "will be much better next season" have been used in conjunction with Monty?
Seriously folks, so what if Monty gets above .500 next year, eight years to achieve that minimal improvement? True basketball and Huskie fans deserve more than to lose by 29 and then three days later lose by 30 at home. If Frazier is smart, he needs to realize the only thing to revitalize his own resume is to have the courage to make a decision that will have little or no opposition, then make a significant hire for one of the only two sports most schools care about

STF reminds me more of Kurt Russell’s character in Used Cars.

He keeps trolling the fan base with a $20 bill attached to the end of his fishing line.

The guy has zero substance. He can hit the road as far as I’m concerned. What are his achievements during his tenure at NIU? Football scheduling? I honestly don’t know.

+1. My biggest problem with him is a lack of outreach to donors, including higher level donors. It seems like he only bends over for the mega donors (like Yordon, Chessick, et. al.)

Nice guy, but has had TOO LONG without moving the needle on the program.

Whatever happens I hope our core players stay.

Funny thing about this comment is we’ve lost a bunch of core players by keeping him.03-lmfao

If we only had Roy L. Fuchs (god dammit) as a donor.

Maybe we can interrupt the BCS championship game with an NIU commercial.

Some local strippers, Marshall Huskie taking out the Toledo Astronaut. Anyone have the ability to interrupt the signal?

Can't hurt.

Geno was clearly the aggressor and one who started it. Later on he said I’m sorry and was hugging Thorpe, frustration has set in and I don’t believe they will recover as a team. Earlier in the season Geno was berating McCarthy because he didn’t catch a pass.

Geno HATES to lose. Not a bad trait.

Not unusual for the most talented guy on the team and one of the youngest to get frustrated with those less talented when you're not winning.

Happened with MJ with Bulls a lot ....mostly in the early days.

Did you really just compare Geno to MJ? Even his airness made teammates around him bette than Geno ever has. Hating to lose is a good thing, berating teammates, cussing out the head coach, almost getting into fights with teammates, that's not acceptable. Every time he does it he should sit. Who wants to play with a guy like that? He's got some serious growing up to do before next year.

Geno works hard on his game of shooting and dribbling, I don’t believe his focus is on being a better defender or driving and dishing to a teammate. This is NIU not professional sports you cannot push and physically go after your teammate. What if James or McCarty got mad and screamed, pushed him every time he let his guy drive past him and now they get a foul. It just shows they are not connected as a team.

Everyone is happy in a winning lockeroom. Losing sucks and eventually hurts relationships. The only thing that can save this team is if they go on to sweep the conference tournament.(Highly unlikely, but would bring life to Huskienation)

Nothing will change next year with the same core of players, same coach, and same "system".

Geno=MJ?

Ummm...No. Didn't think I needed to put a disclaimer in there to that.

Geno is intense and relatively immature in controlling his emotions. Yes, he needs to work on that.

part of the issue seems to be, at the mid-level, if a player succeeds and succeeds well, he is apt to try and move up to the next level and get on a top 50 program to try and make his mark.
