I like David Briggs. He tells it like it is.

My thoughts exactly. 3 games in 11 days is dangerous

Come on. They're all dangerous. Practice is dangerous. It's FB. They use to play with leather helmets and no facemask. Now they don't play as many downs a game. Player are specialists. RB's alternate series. Move WR's out and bring TE's in on short yardage situations, etc. Teams that get killed are physically overmatched. Slower, smaller, weaker, less depth.

Agreed, they should play two games a week. Maybe three.

I enjoy Kierkegaard also.

The aspect that worries me about the short weeks is how we performed on a short week last season. That OU performance was just miserable to witness, from start to finish. WMU on a short week this season could hold very similar results.

21 days to prepare for Appalachian State. Played NIU on Weds and @OU Thurs(6 days).
Rockets beat Akron the first game on Saturday and blew out out Ball State 5 days later(Thurs) 58-17.

Thought provoking.... Briggs is an AWESOME columnist (stated BYT in previous posts).

Ideally we’d get back to 100% Sat games. A naive but hopeful thought.

Rockets play with 7 days going into Buffalo @GB. 5 days between Buffalo and @WMU, who will also have 5 days coming off a rivalry game@CMU. And Rockets host Ball State 5 days later, the Cardinals will be recovering from a game @Ohio U.
Btw, BSU is on Halloween Night.
