I wouldn't say there's even an unwritten rule against "stealing" signs. It is entirely expected that the opposing team will see and try to interpret one's signals.

And of course, it's not actually "stealing": it's just seeing and interpreting. But people love to call it "stealing signs" -- the allure of alliteration is awfully attractive.

Of course, in addition to the possibility of stealing signs, some pitchers have been known to "tip their pitches", using a slightly different delivery or arm slot for a breaking ball or change up vs. fastball.

Yeah I remember a few years ago we had a RHP who will not be named that tipped his pitches pretty badly. He would under hand his change up and and go to the left arm for his slider. Wether or not the other team caught on I can’t say though.

The baseball team will win a regional at the least. This could be the best team we've had in 4 or 5 years. The pitching is there. Warm the bats. It'll come together in a blaze of glory. Timing is everything
