Hungarian city outraged at exclusion from EU culture contest
A Hungarian city’s bid to become the European Union’s next “Capital of Culture” was allegedly rejected by EU officials because its video entry showed too many smiling, dancing, white Christians, the city’s mayor says.
According to Cser-Palkovics, one member of the jury of “experts,” whom he identified as a Belgian politician, strongly disapproved of the promotional video, calling it a “propaganda film for white Christian Europe” in which “everyone is white, happy and dancing in the streets.”
Odd that there are so many white, Christian people shown in a film about a country that is almost all white and either Christian or not religious. Over 98 per cent of respondents in their census stated that they were Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox Christian. Hungary is about 85% Hungarians and most others are from neighboring countries. Ultimately, it is a non-story. Hungary got left out of a "cultural" competition. Big whoop. A political and social slap in the face, but big whoop otherwise.

I know you've seen those commercials during the Super Bowl where some complain that it's too "SJW".
Hell, a few years ago we had a poster calling for a boycott of Cheerios because it had a mixed race couple in it.

Looking back at the thread, I think I was inaccurate about the boycott. But we had posters who said the ad itself was racist--and pandering--for featuring a mixed race family.

Looking back at the thread, I think I was inaccurate about the boycott. But we had posters who said the ad itself was racist--and pandering--for featuring a mixed race family.
That is weird there are a lot of mixed race families. The 2 plus decades of commercials show men as bumbling idiots is super annoying though.

Hungarians are happy because unlike the majority of Europe their country hasn't surrendered to the calls for diversity that leave them vulnerable to jihadists.
