Just a guess, but this sounds like a lisfranc injury. If that’s it, a broken bone in his mid-foot has caused the joint to dislocate. Those don’t really heal.

How did it happen? I never saw anything except him lying on the floor, then get up hobble down to the other end where he purposely fouled to get off the court.

It’s a confirmed lisfranc injury. I was hoping it wasn’t, but was also concerned whe I heard the timeline. Metatarsal injuries usually will be fully in healed by 12 weeks. My son was back on the court after 8 with a metatarsal break.

It must have been very painful, but Martin was stoic about it. He is a tough man.

He should have the boot off by now. The scary thing about this injury is that surgery doesn’t really make the foot good as new.
