Is that a good thing or a bad thing.
Opinions may vary.

Do you deny women your essence?
I have or feel no fatigue, and my women (yes, plural) will vouch for that.

To the OP, don't pencil Houston in the NCAA field just yet, we handed them what many will consider a bad loss

That was when I realized 1) these guys may have a bit more inside info, but they don't necessarily understand how a team, program, coaches, etc. work; and 2) they're really just entertainment - not journalist, thus they can just run with whatever opinion (no matter how ridiculous it may be) in order to keep folks tuned in.
He also didn't think Mike Conley would amount to anything and wanted the Grizz to dump him. Way off on that one too. But like you said, they just have opinions.

Vernon also begged the Grizzlies for weeks to not draft Hasheem Thabeet. Ranted on air about it for weeks leading up to the draft.
Then again, I think everyone felt that way except for Chris Wallace.

And lost to Tulane.
They still have @SMU but it depends on how Milton is doing. A loss to them and a one game exit in the AACt would put them close to the bubble but the wins over Cinci and WSU (and Arky) would likely be enough.

Still 24 today on Kempom., they will make it. And a road loss to what will be around a 20 win team is not a bad loss.

And lobbied for Draymond Green. Verno's record is pretty good, not perfect.

Thabeet was Heisley's choice.

The radio shows are, as you said, for entertainment only. They are like the WWE of radio. The "print journalists" are better. I enjoy reading all but Tillery. He is just awful to read and you can tell he can't stand being in Memphis...he just likes being around the NBA players.
True on Tillery, and the funny thing is the Grizz FO hates him. Tillery was Lionel's mouthpiece, and they haven't forgotten. He never breaks any Grizz news, and he's with the team every day.
Mark G. is very good. Has been very middle of the road, criticizing when necessary but not the ridiculous pile on.
Agreed - Mark G. is very good, as was Tom Schad. Too early to tell on Evan Barnes, but from the little bit I've read and from the 1 Tiger football podcast he's been on, he seemed good.

A tier 1 win is a win over a top 75 team on the road...Which is considered a top level win...To lose to a 100ish school on the road wouldn't be considered a terrible loss for a 10 seed.
For a 2 seed yeah...

You beat me to it. Wallace has made some dubious choices for sure, but Thabeet wasn't one of them. Wallace, as I recall, wanted Tyreke Evans. It was then owner Michael Heisley overruling the entire front office to draft Thabeet.

Houston was up with a bullet to a 7 before last night.
WSU and Cincy holding at 3

Fair enough.
Damn...drafted him over James Harden, Steph Curry, DeMar DeRozan.....

Verno did a great interview with Heisley about that draft pick. Verno took him to the woodshed and Heisley essentially manned up on it. They had a great back and forth.

GP who is a liberal that would rather talk politics compared to sports.
There is a reason that he does not take calls, he is afraid of someone having more valid points compared to himself. He is completely self absorbed.
So either you listen to him or you don't and you are spouting off a bunch of ish you don't know.
So you're either a fraud or a liar.
When has Gary ever given us any technical insight into basketball beyond this team has more talent than that team? Since he is someone who has close relationships with Izzy, Marshall, and Few, and has spent significant time with each, I would expect him to be able to provide insight into how specific aspects of college basketball works (different types of offense, different types of defense, etc.). Instead he gives us very broad-brushed simple explanations of things and then calls his listeners stupid.
I would encourage you to listen to 730 a.m. then.
You will find an endless amount of intelligent discussion from a bevy of well respected sports journalists. Occasionally you can hear calls from some of the most insightful listeners who will broaden your horizons and really make you rethink your positions.
I'm surprised these shows haven't been syndicated to Sirius/XM or to the ESPN family of networks.

Thanks. Bob and Josh look like better radio than Peter and Wolo (not that it takes much). I’ll try 730 out Monday.
