I fear with so many teams apparently involved it will minimize the punishment handed out, well 'everyone was doing it' so slap them on the wrist and move on.

RE: OT: School names coming out in basketball scandal
This going to turn out about like Corey Maggette the Duke player who took money from a AAU coach

The NCAA, which informed Duke of its decision a number of months ago but made no public announcement, said the distinction was that Duke was not aware of Maggette's eligibility issue when he played in the Final Four in 1999, despite rumors of improprieties. (UCLA suspended Rush the next season, after he'd testified before a grand jury and FBI agents had interviewed athletic department officials.)

Had the NCAA determined that Duke knew or should have known Maggette was ineligible during the 1998-99 season, it could have vacated the team's participation in the NCAA tournament and/or assessed a fine based on the money the school received.

UNC CHeat paid millions to get out of the largest academic fraud in NCAA history. Looks like they may need to lawyer up again.

Tyndall got a 10 year show cause penalty for his actions. If there isn't any punishment of this caliber given out, I'd be suing the NCAA. But USM doesn't have that type of leadership, so I doubt that happens.

How do you tie this ASM agency to each institution potentially involved? All we know now is the kids apparently received money from this source. The players involved are basically forfeiting their eligibility. This agency doesn't obviously work for any college basketball program. The hard part is determining what the schools potentially involved knew about the recruit and their involvement with this entity and their representative. It is not all black and white. Is is not as simple as where the recruit ended up as being a program that was aware, they will need proof to tie the player to a representative of that school, correct?

Sean Williams is next. Sean come on down and get your show cause. Oh and your potential 10 year federal pen sentence.

Miller. Wiretaps and FBI are generally not two words you want to hear together.
