I heard on a sports talk show this morning that there may not be a link between player favors by agents and the coaching staff at their respective schools. Plausible deniability.....

I hope the FBI goes after college football too. Alabama and ohio state would have a lot to worry about.

Two from Kentucky on that long list. One from the Shockers --- the only non-P5 non- Big East school on the list.

Does this mean Cal is going to the NBA?

There are a lot of people who are going to be interviewed by FBI agents that would sell out these coaches on anything to get out of trouble. If there is a connection, it will be found.

Maybe this will lead to a major redo of how college athetics works. Too many blue bloods on this list.

Right. This is just documents coming from one agent. Just getting started IMO.

Am I only one who thinks none of this is a big deal? These numbers are pretty minuscule. Am I missing something?

Minuscule, yes. But keep in mind these are numbers from only one agent. When you consider how many others are doing the same thing, it quickly becomes very huge.

Only people who are affected will likely be guys still playing who were named.

Not near the cheating in college football as in hoops. Unlike sneakers, we don't wear cleats every day around town, so shoe companies don't funnel money to football player's families.

And football players are in school a minimum 3 years, hoops they are there for months.

The numbers are, but the agent in question hasn't even been charged or arrested. He's the one handing everything over. Who knows what else he knows.

The NCAA needs to be disbanded and buried in favor of a new governing body that removes the "amateur" classification of student-athletes and includes compensation.
