Wow, what an experience!
Wow, what a great win, voice is totally shot but the smile still remains!

Made the trip from Texas and sat in the rain for 4 hours..........would do it every week for the next 10 weeks for more wins like that. 04-cheers

The best part was the EMU fan section. Kudos to Purdue for giving us great seats on the 10 yard line rows 5 thru 20 or so.

After the game, the entire stadium cleared out quickly........except for the EMU fans who took over the stadium for the next half hour. Players and coaches immediately came to the wall to exchange hugs and high fives with the fans and sing the EMU fight song. Sheer joy. After about 10 mins they headed back across the field to their locker rooms when the fans started chanting EMU....EMU....EMU again, hoping for an encore to continue the celebration.

Sure enough, the entire team and staff stopped, turned around, and returned to the wall for more high fives, and celebration with the EMU contingent. Led by coach Creighton who was still on cloud 9 with fist pumping.

After another 10 mins they returned to the locker room to clean up and head to the buses. Still raining, the majority of the fans made their way outside the stadium to continue the celebration, relive the game, and wait for the players and coaches to emerge from the locker room and board the buses. One by one the players and coaches were welcomed out with hugs, high fives, and congratulations.

Great experience for all.

Do yourself a favor, make your way to an EMU football this year, and enjoy some good football and support your team.

Thanks for sharing ETough. Embarrassed to say the rainy weather scared my buddy from making the four hr drive so I had to back out. However a few of us watched the game at BWW and had an amazing time. I met Bo Bell's parents who had great things to say about EMU, Chris Creighton, the entire program, players, etc....they were really impressed with Bo's roommate, Jairus Grissom!!

Maxx and the team played unbelievably awesome!!!!

I met Breck Turners mother and sister on the shuttle bus. She seemed shocked that a crazy fan that wasn't a parent of a player would make the drive and sit in the rain. She must be thrilled that he scored a TD.
Be good to get back to games in Ypsi where a hot dog doesn't cost $12.

Agreed, but that duck bacon burger was worth the price.
