A good filter for moderation elections would be their behavior over on SheepleNet. If they are in any way affiliated with the "Old Guard", the "Holy Trinity of Nazism", "The League of Autistic Gentlemen", they should be eliminated immediately. Any regular members who share the same characteristics of the aforementioned group need to be culled as well. Wheatshock struck me as one of those when he first joined this board. They are holier than thou personalities (most likely residing in small towns or farms) and really are just lacking a sense of humor. They love to talk stats and scores but the "finer things in life" simply escape them. In a word, they are boring. But give them a little power and we're transported back to the prohibition era.

GTS knows what I'm talking about.

'Fever, pvtlamb, Play Angry, Andshock, etc. would make a good advisory council. I haven't been on SheepleNet since 2013 so I literally have no idea who to watch out for...

P.S. RoyalShock (little town fella that lubs da powa), shockband, Kai, a few others would require me to immediately recuse myself from this board lol.

That isn't accurate. We do have some spots with active #1 boards who have no true home moderation. These groups are, admittedly, well behaved.

I would like to cast my vote for that option GTS.

It would be an interesting social experience. Self regulation - just like in hockey - only the enforcers would have to use intellectual means instead of brawn.

Not at all, but if certain posters are chosen as "lords over the land", I won't spend a single second in this place.

Wheatshock has improved over the months, but my initial impression of him was not good. He'll need to age a bit more on these boards before he gets CB's stamp of approval. We already have mods (DSB and Subby) so I think we'll be fine.

I was never a mod here and I haven't exactly dropped off the face of the earth. I did get frustrated with the lack of activity on Wheatshockers and stopped checking in as much and putting in the time to keep it clean and active. Just felt like I was wasting time.

I'm glad to see GTS finally responded to someone. There was a time when fastbow, myself and DTSB were trying to get this going but we never heard back from anyone in charge which led us to look at other avenues for an alternative to TOB.

I do think this board will benefit from the AAC board being attached. Something that we obviously didn't have at Wheatshockers and too many posters seemed to think they had to post on either one or the other. Though with the previous leadership on TOB, who knows if they'd have been banned for being "traitors" or something.

I still have my own backlog with you as I explained on the AAC board. Because the request came from you it meant I had to loop that work in to do it. But IIRC (I could be wrong, it HAS been a while...) that was more of an up in the air floating it proposition than a "there's people here now let's do this" proposition. #1 gets a raised eyebrow. #2 gets me to clear my schedule.
