Hope the Cavs win some games big, because I doubt he'll play in close games. Still, hopefully this is only the first of many NBA stints.

He was in Canton.

I guess it is a good deal financially, but it is a shame if he goes to Canton and misses that All Star team he was on. Given that it has been posted everywhere, this must be better though.

Every players dream in the G league is to get a crack at the NBA. Call ups don't happen that often and to very few players.

Yep. I think there were 37 10-day contracts last season. Something in that neighborhood, anyway. You figure a few of those were for the same guys twice so that comes to an average of about 1 per team per season.

If nothing else, MT gained some good publicity.

And a little less than $5k a day for 10 days. Not sure what Marcus makes in the G league (min $75k), but I'd venture that 10 day contract probably is close to half his season salary.

Marcus suited up for last night's Cleveland game, did not play, and is wearing #33.

OK, that is some good news. Being with the team is a plus. Nothing Marcus has done on the court this season has been anything but good for his prospects. Would love to see Marcus get a real chance because he works so hard, is an excellent player, and still is a great ambassador for William and Mary. I guess the biggest thing is the exposure and perhaps the chance to get a real opportunity. I never felt like the Celtics really gave him any chance.

Marcus now appears to be at Canton, at least yesterday, although he's officially listed on the Cav's roster
with that note.

This appears, and it's only a guess, to be a game to game thing.
