RE: Dropping MAC teams
Guys, plz tell me why dropping EMU is so unrealistic? Are you guys content with the MAC being a mediocre conference? Do you really like watching football games in Ypsilanti with only 3-5k people at the game?

He also has thoughts of WMU going to the MVC.

That thread is so hilarious. They all seem pretty sold on dropping Tulsa to add WMU 01-wingedeagle

Have you noticed that no other WMU poster will defend his ridiculous comments?

Yep. Most MAC fans have realistic expectations for their school and their conference. The expansion/contraction threads always make me giggle. I think the MAC is currently satisfied with where it is.

Keep telling yourself what you want to hear EagleSam, EMU is fighting an uphill battle that cannot be won. EMU fans always give me a good chuckle

Dear Fthechips,
What uphill battle that cannot be won? We have beaten your basketball team six times in a row lately, or doesn't basketball count in who stays and who goes? You make me laugh.

He's a WMU fan, Ken. Just a heads up. Probably best to just let him continue trolling.

RE: Dropping MAC teams
Remember not long ago when EMU went on a a 3-year winning streak against WMU in football? And before this year WMU hadn't won a basketball game in Ypsilanti since 2011. Wow, must suck for them to have such long stretches of failure against "FCS-level" competition.

Even this year 17,575 fans were at EMU to watch WMU have to go to OT to beat "FCS-level" competition.

First off, last time we played you in basketball we won. (quite handily I might add). Secondly, EMU consistently averages last in the MAC for football. Your'e in an awful location, right next to Detroit and Ann Arbor, so your'e directly competing with U of M and Detroit pro sports. In 2015, you averaged 4000 fans per game, do you guys just not look at the stands while your'e watching the game? because most of the time it's empty in there. You guys are really gonna pretend you haven't seen all the news reports/articles that suggest EMU drop to FCS/Div 2??? I'm simply arguing for the football program to be dropped, I think you guys would fit well in MVC or Horizon leage for bball.

FCS level teams play FBS teams close all the time. Doesn't mean they should be upgraded to FBS.

Proposes BSU should be kicked out. Backs up assertion by showing statistics that state the WMU has won 3 less conference bball championships and has appeared in only one more bowl game than BSU. Heh... this thread is comedy gold.

You forget that the last three years you averaged 9k, 7k, and 7k respectively, for home games. That's laughable attendance, nobody wants to watch Ball st. Your home games are comedy gold.

Fthechips, at this point I suggest you write the MAC commissioner with these salient points. In fact, forward him a link to this thread. Be sure to explain what the MAC will do to generate the extra content that underlies the MAC's contract with ESPN3 and CBSSN. Perhaps Western can make that up with a talk show from you and your other buddies, they could use it to counterprogram Crossfire or whoever took over for Bill O'Reilly.

Maybe the MAC could replace EMU with Ypslianti highschool, I heard their football games draw more people. Idk... what you guys think?

You just contradicted your own statistics on football attendance. At this point you just might be O'Reilly.

Got it. I've considered it, and the answer is no. You're a 6-6 team yourself.

How about the year before? And the year before that? Winning records, bowl games, bowl victories, sell out crowds, college gameday, NFL draft picks.
