Word is Greg Adkins from Charlotte will be Marshall's next OL coach.

Doc said he was best OL coach he's been around and the improvement from such a young OL for Marshall was head and shoulders over the year before....

very important hire.

Western hired a D3 young guy (played D3 and coached D3) for our OL and went to 130th in running. This year we upgraded (hopefully) with the hire of Oregon St's OL coach.

Congrats to Mirabal! We will miss him, but you should always be glad to see someone get an opportunity to move up.

Starting to look like 2018 is going to be a tough year for Marshall instead of being the favorite to win the east, might be the underdog pick to win the east.

Mirabal at 5'4 didn't look the part orsound the part of an OL coach, but he was great at what he did. Going to reconnect with Cristabal again. Mirabal came to Marshall from FIU where he was with Mario Cristabal.

Anyone but Rick Trickett please. Have you seen FSUs OL the last 2 years, its been a train wreck.

Lots of new pieces to fit together, but most of those pieces are an improvement over the previous ones, so that could work to our advantage. This may be the best staff at MU in several years, as an example, the two new defensive coaches hired last year made a big difference in our defense this year.

Greg Adkins Replaces Alex Mirabal As OL Coach

Greg Adkins is a Cross Lanes WV native and played at Marshall from 1986-89. He was on the 1987 team that went to Pocatello ID and lost the IAA National Title to NE Louisiana 43-42. He was on Jim Donnan's staff in 1992 when Marshall captured its 1st IAA Title.

I agree, I think we will be better, Mirabal was a terrific person good for our program, but I think Adkins will have our OL perform at a higher level.
