I have a feeling our Saturday starter will be different going forward. Two straight shaky outings. He got out of it against a bad team but got batted when it was an ACC team.
With that said we left like 2000 men on base tonight and hit into at least two unfortunate double plays in the last two innings where if at least one had gone out way it would be a different story.

No it’s going to be Agnos. UNC left almost twice as many runners on than we did.

The goal show now be to host, no reason this team isn't capable of that.

Great win ECU! I think the league can produce 5 bids this year.

What's the top end for this conference in bids and hosting?
Good to see WSU taking care of business ooc. Them getting back to old glory will only make the conference even tougher

Coogs take the Top 25 matchup series with CS Fullerton 2 games to 1, beating them 10-5 today! Bats looked good today and yesterday. Finally.
Coogs take on TSU on Tuesday, and then get a weekend series against 3 different SEC teams, UK on Friday, Miss St. on Saturday, and Vandy on Sunday, in the College Classic at Minute Maid Park. Looking forward to next weekend a lot.

Huge win for this team against a bitter rival that has topped them for years in series wins. ECU was one hit from sweeping them. Don't for a second though count UNC out from being very good down the stretch. They have started their season with zero cupcakes opponents. That will pay off for them down the road in ACC conference play.
Im not going to make a prediction at this point..but..ECU's starting pitching has been solid and defensively they have been stellar. The bullpen has been adequate and they are driving the ball on offense. That is a recipe for winning. It remains to be seen if that will continue. We all know how hard it is for any baseball team to keep their momentum going throughout a season.

Nice series win. CSF is always a top tiered team. Id bet they are better than the UNC team that ECU beat in their series.

Some nice wins today. I did notice Fullerton is struggling out of the gates though with only a 1-6 record.

Hard to get much worse than what we've seen in recent seasons
Pleased with the start to this season but we'll see how the crew handles the Huskers this weekend. Win 2 out of 3 and we'll start to let optimism creep back to the forefront.

RE: Official AAC Baseball Week 2 Discussion Thread
Pleasantly surprised by the road series win at Fullerton. It could have been a sweep if our bats weren't absolutely atrocious on Friday. They (Fullerton) are struggling right now, but I'd bet that will be a significant boost to our RPI by the end of the year.
I'm still not sold on our offense, and worry about consistency. I saw Etzel homered today, and he was one of the guys I'd hope would break into the lineup this weekend, so that's good.

Pirates ranked #18 by D1Baseball. Left out of Perfect Game and Baseball America polls. UNC-Chapel Hill still in all 3 lol.
