Honestly, with the 1-seeds this year, it really is no different than being a 7...there is very little separation between the top 8-10 teams IMO.

We're 6-3 vs. Group 1 teams.

Cincinnati is 5-3
Purdue is 6-3
Wichita State is 3-2
Arizona is 4-2
Duke is 3-4
Rhode Island is 2-4
Nevada is 2-2
Clemson is 2-6
Texas Tech is 4-4
Tennessee is 4-7
Michigan State is 3-3
Kentucky is 3-7
Ohio State is 3-5
TCU is 3-7
Seton Hall is 3-6
Gonzaga is 3-1

So, if we're lacking in quality wins then there isn't going to be a field of 64.

Well, the Pac12 is garbage and the SEC is overrated(We're the best because we lose to each other).

Gotta keep winning. That said, I thought for certain they'd see a bigger jump from the Cincinnati win. I guess it means they can incur another bad loss.

It's not just the loss to Drexel, it is also the loss to Tulane

Good point. Tulane getting back in the top 125 would really help our conference. Not sure they can do it.

Even the LSU loss helps nothing.

if you guys had a schedule like us you would defiantly be in without question. You gotta schedule better teams in ooc. Ik that can be harder for smaller programs/programs with a lot of recent failure. But now you have a platform to build off of to get better teams to play you.

Come on; LSU is a Group 1 game... top 75 rpi on the road. We lost by 3 in the last minute in Baton Rouge to a team that beat Michigan, Memphis, Texas A&M (twice), Arkansas (twice), and Missouri.

We have as many quality non conference wins as Cincy or WSU

This year's schedule makes schedules from earlier this decade look really hard.

all I'm saying is that you need to schedule better teams in the ooc.

like take our schedule for example.

ooc top 25 team that we have played

MSU
zona
auburn
nova

UH
none

cincy and wsu were ranked and had preason hype around them. I'm pretty sure Houston didn't, at least to that extant. that goes along way.
LSU is 16-11... btw

I agree we need to schedule better but half of the problem is just getting into a decent tournament. That usually adds 2-3 quality opponents. So far we haven't been able to land a spot in one of those. Maybe next year we'll get an invite but I think at the moment we're seen as a small fish. Perception wise people would rather watch your Huskies. Is what it is. As long as we keep winning things will take care of themself.

I'd rank our best non conference wins as;

Beating Providence by 11 at the Mohegan Sun
Beating Arkansas by 26 at home
Beating Wake Forest in a tournament
Beating St Louis on the road by 19 (4th place Atlantic Ten team)

Also, losing to Drexel in that tournament meant we missed an opportunity to play Colorado (a top 70 rpi squad).
